Site Overview and Geological Setting
Our licensed site in the Zara district of Sivas covers a total area of 1,646.21 hectares. Operating permits have been secured for 977 hectares, where efficient production activities are carried out within zones of polymetallic mineralisation containing zinc, lead and copper.
Mineralisation and Mining Method
Mineralisation at the site occurs in magmatic lenses and veins. Under the consolidated mining plan, 23,795,200 tonnes of proven copper, lead and zinc ore reserves have been estimated within the main vein, which measures 100 × 10 × 0.6 metres. Our operation combines open-pit and underground mining methods with safe blasting techniques to achieve substantial annual production targets.
Exploration, Development and Precious Metal Potential
At Zigma Mining, we continue to carry out geological surveys, core drilling and analytical work to expand the site's reserves. Recent field investigations and laboratory analyses have identified occurrences of precious metals, including gold (Au) and silver (Ag), alongside the base metals. Detailed exploration is ongoing.
